　　设计界对北湖9号建筑的赞誉有加，是因为绝大多数涉外的五星级酒店均是由境外设计师执笔完成，北湖9号是难得的由中国本土设计师执笔，并用中国元素来独立完成的高级消费场所。白墙、灰瓦、深栗色的柱子，这座以灰、白为主色调的新古典主义建筑群落，在细部的处理和施工上极为考究，比如略加夸张的侧角，刻意强调的轴线，极为费工的灰砖磨边对缝等等，既融合了中国古代建筑的深沉底蕴，又蕴含了现代建筑的舒适人性化精神。
