Sino Bay Country Sports Club
Sino Bay Country Sports Club is located in the north of Hangzhou Bay. It's an 18-hole, floodlit golf course with a total length of 7117 yards and par 72. The course is designed by the British golf architect Les Watts who previously has worked together with the famous Peter Thompson, so there will be some British heritage adapted to Chinese soil.
There is also a Ramada Plaza Hotel with 199 rooms and seven villas on the premises. So if you get bored from golf you could try out the wimming pools, tennis courts and football field, or go for a sauna and a massage.

Huakai Golf Course
Huakai Golf Course at Sino Bay Country Sports Club is located only 5 km from Hangzhou Bay. That means that most of the time your swing will be affected by the wind from the sea. Most wind comes from the south which in combination with how the course is laid out means that you often face sidewind when you drive off the tea. So no advantage regardless if your go-to shot is a fade or a draw.
The entire course measures 7117 yards, but from the blue tees it's a mere 6430 yards. However distance is never the only thing in this game to take into calculation.
Like many other golf courses in Shanghai you won't see much elevation. But Shanghai golf courses are on the other hand often provided with an abundance of water. And sand traps. This course is no exception. Originally being built on a flood discharge area there is water on practically every hole, and the last 9 holes feature near to 50 bunkers. So keeping the ball in play and hitting it straigh rather than long is the key here.
The golf course at Sino Bay is also one of a few courses in Shanghai that have lights set up throughout the course, and so extending the possible playing time for us hard-workers with a few hours.
